Pecan Pie

Good morning, friends! It's the middle of the week and I'm here with a pick-me-up. If you skipped breakfast, you may not want to read this until you're full... I am warning you now that this may cause extreme tummy growling, and you can't say I didn't tell you so!

Up on the recipe release today is a classic holiday favorite. A sweet, Southern staple of Thanksgiving. None other than my treasured Pecan Pie.

Getting started: This recipe yields 2 large pies.

--------------------------------------

again, For good measure: See what I did there?

----------------------------------------

2 cups brown sugar

1 cup sugar

2 TBSP flour

1/4 cup milk

1/2 lb. melted butter

6 eggs

2 cups pecan (chopped)

--------------------------------------

I have a new surprise for y'all today! Since I LOVED adding video to the blog last week, I decided to officially make this a "thing" around here. On recipe release days, there will be a video from my YouTube channel + written instructions directly underneath it. They will come in different forms, and all of them are WAY too fun for me! This week I'll be walking and talking you through it. Greetings from The Pie Hole!

To prepare: You will need the previous shortbread dough recipe.

1. Mix brown sugar, sugar, and flour together.

2. Add milk + butter. Continue to mix.

3. Stir in eggs.

4. Stir in pecans.

5. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes and enjoy!

I am feeling extra excited for Thanksgiving now, y'all! Pecan Pie is such a Southern staple to both, the fall & winter holiday seasons, and I know you'll steal the show when you bring it to the party this year! It is always a pleasure to share my favorite recipes with you, thank you for bringing me into your kitchen every week. I certainly love having you in mine.

Don't forget to tag me in your finished products, please!
